AICTE approval does mean a lot if the institute has not got an excellent reputation in the field of management studies.

Can anyone tell me about the AICTE approval & its importance in getting a foriegn visa.
Also IIMM pune is not AICTE approved, but it is doing exceptionally well guys.

It s true that some of the institutes which do not have the AICTE approval are doing better than some of those who do have but that doesn’t mean that you mislead students regarding your approval status. we need to have a well defined policy in place to address these kind of issues especially management education becoming the most sought after these days

AICTE or non-AICTE does not make much of a difference as long as the quality of education is great. Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Times School of Marketing, New Delhi are non AICTE recognised b-schools and still they do much better than many small and ill-equipped business schools which have AICTE approval.
In the present case there could have been an error on understanding since Amity’s course was AICTE approved but was withdrawn at a stage when students had been admitted.
This is the fault of the government that they should complete the approval process before the selection lists of the b-schools is out.
