I think that there has been much hoopla about the salary and the CEO position which the person in question has got .It more or less is the reflection of the person's 20 odd years experience in NABARD rather than anything to do with XLRI

Lemme ask a question .Whats the second best salary of that programme .and if u sheck out the net worth of the ABN AMRO foundation , it would come out to be less than being handled by a project manager or say some one similar in rank .Remember , its ABN AMRO foundation and not ABN AMRO BANK ...

Still the achievment is commendable but cool avenues should not induldge in over publicising this sort of things without proper industry research !!

Congrats to Sunil Kumar for becoming the CEO and more so to XLRI for again creating history and enhancing its reputation of being one of the finest B-schools of India.
I think instead of downplaying such achievements we should be more encouraging and appreciate such landmarks.
Kudos to coolavenues for its efforts in ths direction.

Hi

We just want to clarify that in this news report it is not the intention to hype salary. Further It is noted in the news itself that the person concerned is already AGM with NABARD but here I wish to point out that NABARD is governed by RBI and has same salary structure so a jump for an AGM of NABARD to this post is quite a significant jump and an achievement and hence this news.

Hope this clarifies our stand.

Regards,

Last year Coolavenues, exposed the exaggeration of salary figures of IIMA agri student by NDTV, but sadly this year they are part of a similar misrepresentation.

Why do u highlight the fact that the concerned person was an MBA student and why not the fact that he was already in mid/senior management of a large corporate before this course.

Just ask the person what his salary was before joining the course and what's the premium that he is getting for his degree.

This appointment has more to do with the rich experience that the person already had than the course by XLRI.

The contribution will be in a similar ratio 19:1, 19 parts being due to his experience (19 yrs) and 1 part due to the course (1 year).

This is just like saying that Dr. Manmohan Singh has been appointed the Prime Minister of India due to the honorary doctorate that has been awarded to him by Cambridge.

Coolavenues shouldnt have indulged in such a misrepresentation.
