No OBC reservation for 2007, rules SC

In a major blow to present Congress led Govt., Supreme Court refused to vacate the stay given on OBC quota in educational institutes. Hence in all likelihood there will be no OBC quota in 2007 admissions.

IIMs are expected to release their admission list once the HRD ministry vacate its earlier order where it has asked institutes to hold on admission till quota issue is not cleared. Hence students and IIMs will be waiting for HRD ministry order with bated breath. Last heard there was no reaction from HRD ministry or Govt on quota issue.
