IIMs experiment with technology has gone sour due to computer snag hitting the online conduct of CAT 2009 exam. As per media reports, an unspecified number of centers in six cities reported computer crash. The centers have asked students to book another time slot. The server crashed soon after the CAT examination began in Chennai, Kolkata, Bhopal, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune, affecting large number students. Full story

Sunday, 18th November 2007, saw around 2.3 Lakh MBA aspirants appearing for CAT 2007 which is touted as one of the toughest exams in the world, for admission to the six elite IIMs and a host of other not-so-elite management institutes in India.
